I LOVE TODAY'S ITEM. ENOUGH SAID. JUST LOOK AT IT. LOOK.
Isn't it beautiful? So seasonal, and non-member!
Yay!
Speaking of non-members, I'm starting a new blog to stand up for them and hopefully to combat unfairness. Learn more here. It's not just Animal Jam non-members, it's non-members on other sites that I play (or played) too- from Fantage to Club Penguin.
In other news, the art studio is forgotten! Every time I visit it's empty :(
Maybe sometimes except for a person or two, but otherwise- zip. Nobody.
But why? It's an amazing room!
Did you know that the painting function was not always there? There was only the 'colouring' activity.
The art studio is fun and a great spot for hanging out.
You can paint anything, and even send it to AJHQ for a chance to win an Artist Plaque!
In my opinion, I don't like people saying how unfair it is to not be able to do stuff or buy the cool stuff when you are a nonmember.
ReplyDeleteThe REASON why you are unable to be like the members is because you haven't paid any money. In this world, nothing is free. You need to understand that.
Think of membership as a 'full game' and nonmembership as a 'free trial' or 'demo'. As soon as you BUY the full game (Purchase membership) you can PLAY the full game.
It would be greedy to say to a games developer that you want more stuff in the free demo of a game, so why is it any different on a virtual world?
Case closed.
I know that, and I have explained it several times before. I explained it back in early 2013 and also on the new blog, and a couple of times on this blog too I think. The thing is that sometimes it is not even necessary for non-members to be restricted to such an extent- what is the point of chat logs being unavailable to non-members for instance? It doesn't make sense- people won't start buying memberships for solely that purpose. I never said non-members deserve the same stuff as members, but the games need to let go of some restrictions. Some virtual worlds take it way too far and I need to take a stand against it. Not everyone can even afford memberships, and don't forget that a step crucial to getting players to buy memberships is to engage them into a game. Making life so harsh for non-members will only turn them away from it. Please do more research into my views and be absolutely confident you know what I think before making assumptions in future before you comment next time, please,(if you do even comment ever again). I am fully aware of the need for memberships- but some games can be compared to examples of extreme advertising. It won't cause profit losses just because Club Penguin might sell even one piece of furniture to everyone, for example. I also request you include a username when commenting under the alias 'Anonymous'. Thank you.
DeleteThanks for replying to me, first of all.
DeleteSecondly, I'm rather new to this blog, and didn't realise you had more complex views, and for my ignorance i am sorry.
I never give my username when commenting anonymously, because i want to be anonymous.
LASTLY! If I did offend anyone at all with my post, sorry! I promise I'm not mean, I just like to express my views.
