Gift Scarves

Hey!
Today's Jamaaliday gift is a returning one, the classic bag of gifts!

Ah, makes me think of this scam someone once attempted >.<

Okay, so this is what happened...

One person had two accounts. One of them had a bunch of rares on trade,and were asking for a bag of gifts. This was sometime in January 2013 >-<'

Their other account just happened to have a bag of gifts on trade. Coincidence much? However, the main account didn't start trading for their bag of gifts. Hmm. After some time, people eventually started trading theirs, but the main account said ''No, I want <insert name of storage>'s one!''. Thankfully nobody fell for the scam. The aim was to get people to overtrade for the storage's bag of gifts, thinking they would get the rares on the trade list of the main account. Nuh-uh. Not happening!

Today's item is also returning, and for all Jammers! Woo! :D The classic Jamaaliday scarf is a must-have for Jamaa's winter ^o^ It will definitely keep you warm :3

It also comes in various colours, and is actually very popular all year round, so my advice to you is to stock up on them!

I love hot chocolate, both in real life and on Animal Jam. The Autumn and Winter is definitely the best time to grab one in the Cocoa Hut! If you have no clue whatsoever what I'm talking about, here's how to make your own hot chocolate drink on Animal Jam!

1. Go to the cocoa hut, and click on the purple game controller. 
   
   
   
   2. Your cocoa making has begun! Choose a cup type.
   
   You might go for a goblet, or for a cup... it's up to you!
   Time to choose a colour...
   
   Choose your drink, it's honestly all up to you! Milk, coffee, tea, cocoa... all possible!
   A lesser known fact is that you can change the temperature of your drink using the lever in the corner! ^-^
   
   You can choose either cream or marshmallows to go in your drink, then choose your final addition and you're officially done!

Monkey Eyes (:

Hey Jammers!
I am really,really sorry for such a long break- I felt like I needed to take a rest from Animal Jam and I'm  getting rather busy, but I'm back from the *somewhat* dead xD

Yes, today's rare item Monday item is none other than the rare monkey hat, which comes in a fairly cool combo! I forgot it was Rare Item Monday today, but you can get your own in the Appondale's museum shop!

Today's post won't be so good, but once I get back to a regular blogging schedule I'm going to make better posts (:

I'm going to conclude with a picture of my art, it's a bunch of anime/manga eyes in different styles!

I have been using the same style for so long, so I felt like developing that style and trying out other types of eyes... what do you think?

I also apologise for not posting without a warning, but even though I intended to post again during the weekend, I settled down to do the post then all my energy seemed to drain out of me and I abandoned it O_O

Boa Scammers

Hey Jammers!
I apologise for the late post, but this Summer is becoming increasingly busy for me- I have some school-work to get sorted, back to school shopping to get done, preparing for vacation, drawing...all sorts of things! I hope to get back on track soon.
A thunderstorm is on the way, there was also one yesterday at night and it woke me up :(
Thunderstorms are rather scary!
Anyway, moving on from my rambling and straight on to Jamaa news.
Today's new item can be found in Jam-mart clothing, and it's a sparkly boa!

Hmm... what can I say? It certainly does seem like a good member item, and will go quite well with the other ridiculous sparkly items that have been popping up in shops o-o

Sparkly head bow+sparkly boa+ice armour+sparkly shoes+ice tail= OVERWHELMING SPARKLES

This actually looks a bit sharp O-o

Like little...blades... :S

Anyway, there is also a new video in Jamaa!

Check it out! ^-^ Carnivorous plants... scary, if you ask me... I mean, if they were genetically modified to be bigger then... I'm quite sure.... they might be able to eat... humans! Thankfully, they don't exist. Yet.

Moving on, don't forget that the plushie stores are always being updated! Once a plushie is gone, I immediately put a plushie in its place so the store is always stocked up. This means 100 different plushies to choose from in a single store!

Now, here are the characters I managed to draw. Yay ^-^

First off, I have the Leader of the Angels, Lily...

I also have a devil themed around the colour red, called Flame.

For a side-topic, I caught a scammer today! I took a lot of pictures, so here they are with my descriptions of what happened.

Alright, so someone named Illpup was advertising a give-away for a founders' hat and more at their den. I already was suspicious, and walked around the den saying that it was bound to be a troll. After a lot of waiting, the person arrived...

They changed their previous trade list (which consisted of the founders' hats and several other rather decent rares) into a list full of necklaces. Uh-oh...

Then we were told to 'trust-trade' them, which is basically trading something very good for a cheap item and 'trusting' the person to decline. It is very popular and shouldn't be done, but if you ever do, understand it's VERY risky and even someone you knew since 2010 could turn against you.

A person named 'MoonMoonTheSecond' won quite frequently, which got me suspicious. I then suspected that Moon was the main account and Ill was a storage, so I checked their achievements. Only 9...

After lots of trading, somebody claimed their headdress got accepted! This could be true or not...

The person who claimed their headdress got scammed;

After that, we all got locked out, so it's really likely that Happy did get scammed.

As a safety measure, stay clear of Illpup and also, take caution around Moon. Moon might not be the same person, but they could be.

Remember Jammers to stay safe to avoid scamming!

Here are a few random tips you could use to stay safe from...

Scammers

• Don't make Aldan your main server to visit, as it is FULL of scammers. Only visit at your own risk, and to trade. Be careful!
• Be careful at giveaways- if it is required to give or trade an item, leave the den! It is VERY likely to be a scam so go out and find another giveaway to visit.
• Only trade something if you are happy with what you will get in return- are you sure you want to trade the item? Is it a fair trade to you? Do you like what you will get in return?
• Never give in to a scammer! You have a right to keep your items and nobody should make you feel bad about doing so!
• Not trading back does NOT make you a scammer, so if you don't want to trade back, explain it calmly. If the person is mean to you, block and report them. Don't make the fight any bigger! However, I am talking about not trading back if you more or less did a trade you were both happ
• Don't flash trade- you might think they have no chance of accepting but the sad truth is that sometimes, it gets stuck and some people are exceptionally fast. What do you gain out of flash trading, anyway? My first ever worn blanket (pink) got scammed in early November 2012 (thanks to caseytiger19) by flash trading, PLEASE DON'T GO DOWN THE SAME ROAD!
• Do the whole trade at once if you can- if someone seems do offer something rather suspicious e.g trade me your headdress for my old hood then I'll give you my founders' hat, do NOT do it! If you are doing a trade where you will be receiving more than 4 items, make sure you can trust the person.
• Understand the risks-if you are going to flash,trust or gift, understand the risks. Someone you know at school that you are very close with that played AJ with you since 2010 could take a turn and decide friendship is less important than pixels any day. So, make sure you can either trust them 100% or accept the risk!

Hackers

• Change your password regularly- you can decide how often.It can be as frequent as once a week to once every six months... you decide! 
• Make sure your password is easy for you to remember, but not very predictable,simple or easy for anyone else to figure out. Try to include lower and upper case, symbols and numbers.
• Don's share any information that could make your password easy to guess! 
• As tempting as it may be, NEVER give out your password unless you are VERY close, for  example a parent or even a sibling in some cases. You never know! No matter how much you think you can trust them or what they promise, you never know...
• If you think you might get hacked soon, i.e accidentally giving out your password, getting the attention of a possible hacker, reset your password and lock your account through the parent dashboard. Once you're on there, disable gifting and trading, too. When you are back online,keep locking your account and/or disabling gifting/trading until you feel safe again.
• Be careful in Aldan! It's a popular spot for people like x to hang out in...

Nice! You can get your own over at Jam-mart furniture if you are member. This would have made a really nice non-member item, but us non-members have to be grateful for what we have already rather than thinking about what we don't have :P

That darn calendar is still empty for today, but I smell a new video somewhere...

The plushie stores need a few more customers, you have no idea how annoying it is when someone comes to my den, stays there, and then leaves -_-

Maybe because the plushie store doesn't look very 'rare', so I upgraded her look a bit :P

Now for my series thingy...

Yay, I managed to make a pink angel character!

I'm working on the leader of the Angels and perhaps another character, so tomorrow you might see between 1-2 new characters :D

And, my side-topic has tons of juicy random little rants >:D

First off, it looks like I have an impostor -_-

I don't know WHY they would do this, but it doesn't take half a brain to figure out that is not the actual me :P

First off, my username is ClevERQueen, not ClevVYqueen. My username also has capitals, like this; CleverQueen.

And guess what? You can't impostor me by using an upper-case i instead of the l, because AJHQ has stopped it AND I have done that already to prevent anyone trying >:D

Also, my den is open right now and I don't lock it very often, but I guess they locked it because my den is really hard to replicate. I don't know anyone sad enough to try so hard to impostor me, really XD Because of my unfortunate addiction to collecting stuff, I have decided to collect non-member den betas and STUFF MOST OF THEM IN MY DEN. There is so much furniture it would be really hard to copy my den!

Even if you did copy my den, you can't copy my username :D

Now, for my pastel green bunny.

MY EYES ARE DARK GREEN, NOT BLACK.

And, I DO NOT LOOK LIKE THAT!!

Yes, my tiara and blanket are my ultimate anti-impostor barrier... they are getting increasingly harder to get and nobody would go such lengths to copy ME. Julian2,Snowyclaw,Kosho etc. yes, people WOULD go such lengths to copy but... me!? XD 

The tiara I wear has a PURPLE/BLUE  gem and my blanket is PALE-GREEN. I wear a green lollipop necklace and a green glove.

As if that isn't enough, I also have two animals which I use and my other member ones. I change the second one sometimes, and this impostor has only one Animal.

They have three achievements, and no pets. I have 135 achievements and 31 pets, and you ALSO have to get all achievements in the precise order >:D

Pizza Clan Series

Hey Jammers!
Happy Tuesday to all of you!
Let's see what is new in Jamaa today...
Starting with the new item, which can be found at the Summer Carnival ^-^

Hmm,very wacky O-o I don't know very many people who would like to walk around with a pizza slice on their heads! (Mainly because they know I'm going to eat it sooner or later)

If you want to be a walking pizza, why don't you pay the Summer Carnival a visit and buy it for 875 tickets? Rather cheap... perhaps because all hats are 50% off!

I'm also glad everyone can be a pizza now! :D

Moving on with Animal Jam news...

The activities calendar is empty for today, sadly.

This means we shall all suffer the fate of boredom!

There are no new videos either, I'm afraid.

Furthermore, I am collecting star rugs, rectangular coffee tables, fireworks fountains and spiral lamps!

Really,I just trade for them when I see them :P

On to blog news,there are two new pages!

One is a list of scammers and hackers in Jamaa, which can be quite useful since you know who to look out for.

Another one is 'Your views', which publishes results of the blog's polls! There is a new poll up now, so perhaps vote on it? I only publish poll results that get a significant enough amount of votes ^.^

I have also changed the font that the date and gadget titles are written in.

I'm not sure what to write about for a side topic, so let me think...

Ah!

Most of us know what clans are, right? They are based off the Warrior Cats series by Erin Hunter (which I don't read, but I might at some point!) and they are VERY common in Jamaa. It's easy to do role-play based on the series on AJ, which explains the popularity of clans.

You see advertisements in Jamaa for all sorts of clans...

Rainclans...

Thunderclans...

Foodclans...

Clanclans...

Geez, I bet there's even an Xylophoneclan out there somewhere!

Anyway, that role-play is and can be fun and creative...

If done correctly.

Because, you got those people that totally abused this and messed up the whole clan-role-play business.

For instance, walk into Madjasterxyz's den at any time and be greeted by...

Well, a whole bunch of people role-playing. Though I very very rarely walk into that den, sometimes it can get rather nasty in there O-o

It does sound like I'm just picking on Aldan now, but I really do find Aldan to be the most violent clan server! Right now is a quiet time in Jamaa so I can't find many examples, but here is what I managed to get;

If you want more examples, visit Aldan (or most other crowded servers),go to Sarepia Forest, down the slide and... brace yourself

What I'm trying to say is, calm down! You can role-play all you want, but there are 9,8, even 5 year olds on this game and I'm quite sure they're not supposed to be seeing some of the violence that goes on o.o

Just chill a little, because some TAKE IT WAY OVER THE TOP.

Even though it's quiet in AJ at this time of day and I can't find any examples right now,  there are plenty during busier times.

So...I'm going to conclude here for now ^0^

I'm working on a piece of art right now, too. I might make this into a series, here it is :D

I'm thinking the background is going to be something like this;

There are two forces, okay? You get the Angel force, and there's another force for the Devils. What do you expect? Both forces are at war. 

Now, Magenta above was the first character. To be honest, it just started with me drawing a random picture and then it all evolved into this.

As you can tell, she is themed around the colour pink.

This also applies to all other characters, so I think that I'm going to draw an Angel next that is themed around pink.

I will try to develop the story a little more to see how it goes, what do you think? :P

It would be quite easy to do role-play on AJ for this too, don't you think? o-o

Jamaa Journal Volume 122-10 July 2014

Hey Jammers!
Today is update day, bringing tons of fun little things to Jamaa with it. Let's start with the Jamaa Journal then!

Yes, rhinos are back! They are still members only, but it seems like they didn't find anything on their travels. Oh dear! However, there is also a new rhino exhibit in the museum, meaning you can learn more about rhinos without even having one! Cool!

How exciting, a new adventure! Unfortunately, I cannot play it, but it does seem very interesting! I wonder what prizes you can win...

Nice, a new game! There hasn't been one for a while in the Summer carnival. Also, it seems like there will be some new prizes coming to the summer carnival,finally! I can't wait to see them, let's hope for some non-member items.

Hatapalooza is back! Well,kind of. It's not as good or big as last year's, but at least you get to save 50% of your gems for buying some funky hats, right? I wish they brought back a few hats, but oh well. What can we do? ^-^

Also, the old AJHQ classic has returned! This year, it was publicly announced in the Jamaa Journal-look out for the Jamaaliday Jam! I love the Jamaalidays, it's quite nice to get a reminder of that festive feeling in Summer. Just over 5 months to go, Jammers, until the official Jamaalidays!

So... that's the Jamaa Journal. I will probably do a tour of the Jamaaliday Jam in December, when it is more fitting. However, be sure to pay it a visit!
