Huge ice-cream! :3

Hello Jammers!
Remember when my 'l' and '.' keys weren't working? Well, they still aren't... :/
I have to use the on-screen keyboard each time I need to use those keys, and even though it's getting more bearable it's still annoying.
I hope to get it fixed soon, because I'm not going to use an on-screen keyboard forever >:o
Today's new item can be found in Jam-mart furniture, following on the ice-cream parlour item set.

This item is much better than yesterday's,because at least the ice-cream is still intact. Sadly it's member, but maybe there's going to be another non-member ice-cream parlour den item any time soon...

There's also a new video today, in Tierney's Aquarium. About our favourite jellyfish! :D

Also, you may have heard of the Animal Jam Sky Blog.

Sadly, on Friday, the author (chocolate4050, aka Scooter) stopped the Animal Jam Sky Blog... it's like the blogs are going down one by one O_O

The end of the AJSB inspired me to keep blogging in order to keep AJ's blogger community vivid, and alive. 

I will miss the blog a lot, it's very unique and there were plenty of interesting things in the posts. There were events and parties often, but the thing that inspired me most is the dedication Scooter had. Honestly, despite being in the 15-19 age range Scooter STILL got up early every day, found the item, posted about it and added fun side-topics. They really did set the blog aside from other blogs- made it stand out. 

There were so many advertisements and features, Scooter worked hard to update the pages,and don't forget the Blu comic Scooter did twice weekly. It's obvious there was SO MUCH work put into that blog, and Scooter never complained he didn't get as many views or comments and Snowyclaw- he made the blog for US.

I really want to thank Scooter, as his blog was a great addition to the Animal Jam Blogging community.

I'm not going to take it off the further reading page, so take a look at it and perhaps leave some words of thanks :)

Okay, so I was trying to trade to finish my collections when I saw King randomly come up to Admiral. Then, King accused Admiral of scamming a rare beard. Whether that's true or not, I don't know, but they were all 'SEND MY RARE BEARD BACK' and then I said ''Well,calm down it's just virtual items on a game''

They said ''WELL I EARNED IT''

Sorry but clicking and typing isn't much hard work :/

Okay it's tiring, but not really HARD WORK :O

I told them how it's their fault they got scammed by falling for it, if they even did get scammed. 

They replied with ''MY BFF GAVE ME IT AND TOLD ME TO NEVER TRADE IT''

''ADMIRAL TOLD ME TO TRUST HIM IT AND I DID...''

Okay, seriously. So your friend told you not to trade it, but you trusted him anyway...?

Sorry, but that's already your fault mainly :/

I don't think Admiral did actually scam, but he could have.

I haven't seen Admiral scam before, so we don't know.

Then I carried on with my business XD

I'm thinking of recording videos of Animal Jam sometimes, to go with the blog.

They can be trolling videos, update videos, etc.

I'm going to think about it, and upload them every once in a while maybe cx

Yup, I am :D

I'm so sorry, I just had a period of time when I totally lost interest in Animal Jam and didn't feel like going on at all T^T I was more interested in art, making things and other stuff not computer related, and it seemed like every day I was going somewhere. When I went on AJ, I didn't stay on for long,and didn't feel like posting :/

HOWEVER, I'm back now! Gosh, I regained my interest in AJ without losing interest in other things. Yay! :3

Anyway...  I guess I'm just going to go through the new item and video, then some random side-topics and juicy stuffs.

The new item is found in Jam-mart furniture, the spilled ice-cream. NO.WHAT A WASTE OF GORGEOUS CREAMY MIX. I do not like this :( Ice cream is supposed to be eaten, not just dumped on the floor like that for the sake of an item :o

Okay, away from Jamaa news.

I have recently joined the JCSI, or Jamaa Crime Scene Investigation. It's a blog that deals with suspicious jammers- basically hackers and scammers. So... I'm going to write a bit more about hackers and scammers on this blog, and you might see random posts sometimes.

Here's some business I did yesterday :3

It's official people- evythecutie owns a beta eyeball. Well, okay, so do about 6 other Jammers. But... evythecutie denied owning one! She even claimed she didn't know what a beta eye was, see? The picture below is from the JCSI blog.

I'm quite convinced she hacked the beta eye, if she denies it so much... :/ I'm sure a person with a beta eye wouldn't fall for a scam, though it's still possible.

And now for stuff that really annoys me >:D

• When I'm trying to trade in Aldan (it's so easy to trade there) and people decide to step RIGHT OVER my tag and advertise their gifting and flashing parties or whatever they're trying to trade for a collar -_-
• Asking me things like this: ''YOUR TIARA AND BLANKET FOR MY COLLAR'' ''MY DEN'' (later asks for my tiara/blanket) ''WHAT FOR BLANKET'' GAH! If it's not for trade, I'm not trading it right now T_T
• GENERATED ITEMS. Okay fine I have a neon bow and red holiday sweater T^T But... generated items still annoy me for some reason O_O I don't want any more to come out, because it's just not right :T The existing ones can stay I guess, but no more. THEY ARE ANNOYING AND JUST BLEH

ALSO, change of plan peoples. I'm most likely going on vacation by plane,and not on the 22nd of August. The new date is the 20th of August, meaning I don't have to wait as long cx

This is most likely, but if it changes I will let you know again.

I guess that's it, but there might be more tracking posts and stuff today x3

I am really,really sorry for such a long break- I felt like I needed to take a rest from Animal Jam and I'm  getting rather busy, but I'm back from the *somewhat* dead xD

Yes, today's rare item Monday item is none other than the rare monkey hat, which comes in a fairly cool combo! I forgot it was Rare Item Monday today, but you can get your own in the Appondale's museum shop!

Today's post won't be so good, but once I get back to a regular blogging schedule I'm going to make better posts (:

I'm going to conclude with a picture of my art, it's a bunch of anime/manga eyes in different styles!

I have been using the same style for so long, so I felt like developing that style and trying out other types of eyes... what do you think?

Jamaa Journal Volume 123- 23 July 2014

Hey Jammers!
So, today, I expected to log on to AJ, find the new item, post about it, then sign off... but I was taken by surprise... there's an update today! Strange, huh? O-O
Anyway, all I can say is that I JUST LOVE THIS DARN UPDATE!
First off, let's go through the Jamaa Journal.

It seems that rhinos DID bring something with them- pet rhinos! If you want a pet rhino, pay the diamond shop a visit and purchase your own for 3 diamonds. I think they are quite cute!

A BETA PARTY? O.O Woah WHAT!? Ha, oldest new party XD It looks like it's set in the old beta den, and there are probably some epic items for sale there. Awesome! I'm going to visit the party and make a tour as soon as I can.

 A new animal? There are clues in the Jamaa Journal, so once I finish going through this issue I'm going to try working them out. I hope it's going to be a cool animal! Also, the awesome ribbon scarf has made it as the accessory contest winner- congratulations! It's available for everyone, too! :D

I live in the UK, so I don't think I can get this. However, I heard of a new code: twelve. This will be added to my codes page! It works, because I tried it. Has anyone got this guide? It sounds REALLY awesome!

 Now that we chose a new clothing item, AJHQ also wants us to choose a new den item set that will come to Jamaa! I assume it will be next update, but it could take a little longer. Press the blue button and vote for the set! Personally, I want the ice cream parlour set to win- IT'S JUST SO AWESOME.

Hey Jammers!
Today's post will be rather rushed, sorry ^-^
WARNING: Long rambling about my extremely thrilling day
This summer, it seems that with each day I am spending less and less time on Animal Jam (just 5 minutes of running around today on CleverQueen,and 5 more on my storage checking up news)
I guess it's getting rather busy, today I have had a late breakfast, encountered a random cat which probably got in through the window standing at my bedroom door when I was home alone, did most of my back-to-school shopping (already! Yes, I know it's really early- my younger sister is still at school but we have to get it done before we go for vacation), stayed out shopping for a REALLY long time- we also visited  a bunch of other stores and I bought this delicious muffin. What really surprised me was the fact that the muffin had no sugar in it! O-o It was just sweetened by fruit... :o  (I checked, I am a label reading expert xD) I also bought 2 books so I don't die of boredom over the summer. I will buy more next time I go shopping. Did you know it took me SO DARN LONG to decide on my pencil-case?
Then... I had dinner, did some random summer stuff with my sister (making bracelets out of rubber bands, making massive bubbles outside, reading in the tent in our garden, running around like crazy maniacs etc.)

So, I didn't really squeeze in much time for Animal Jam.
However, I now bring you this amazing piece of AJ news, brought to you by er...me?

If you have 2,500 tickets and a membership, why not buy this stegosaurus tail? Good for role-playing a dinosaur, but this looks HUGE on some animals. Quite cute on bunnies, though.

Late post today, I know, but I try my best ^-^
Anyway, here's what's new in Jamaa today!
First of all, you can find the new item in the Summer Carnival for 2,500 tickets- the stegosaurus tail!

Hmm, rather cool if you would like to become a dinosaur or something. How will you use this? If you ever will, of course.

Moving on, there are no new videos today but, there is something in the activities calendar! YAY!

Have you tried the new game yet? I have, and it's actually quite fun.
You get yourself over to the Summer Carnival...

Then, you go up and right until you find the place where Phantom Ball,Carnival Darts and the Ticket Shop all hang out. Can you see Dunk-a-phantom?

You click on the game, and spend 5 of your hard-earned gems for a try...

You have to hit the targets in order to drown the phantom! Ouch...

Takes quite a lot of trial and error, but then you can take the tickets and treat yourself to a nice plushie (or two)!

This side topic is really going to be a bunch of random stuff, be prepared :P

I don't know who would fall for this obvious scam, and it's just plain annoying to know that Jamaa is so full of those people that are willing to be lazy and do NOTHING to earn their coveted items whatsoever. Yes, clicking and typing isn't really hard work, no matter how many 'I worked so hard for my rares and now you can buy them!' claims you hear, but scamming on Animal Jam just shows being LAZY TO SUCH AN EXTENT I WANT TO RIP MY LIGHT GREEN FUR OUT AND SHOVE IT IN THEIR HOT DOGS! If you are too lazy to play a few adventures or do a bit of typing, clicking and possibly crying (yes, getting 'rare' often does involve shedding a few tears) then gosh, I can't imagine you in REAL life. Do you want a gym membership? -_-

It feels much better to actually EARN your own items because you will be more proud of it, but if I was you and I successfully scammed a headdress I wouldn't bear to wear it without feeling guilty. REALLY guilty.

Moving on, I need some trading advice? I don't obsess over trading, but I have some leftover rare items and I would like to trade them. I got a few offers, but I'm not sure if they are fair?

Boa Scammers

I apologise for the late post, but this Summer is becoming increasingly busy for me- I have some school-work to get sorted, back to school shopping to get done, preparing for vacation, drawing...all sorts of things! I hope to get back on track soon.
A thunderstorm is on the way, there was also one yesterday at night and it woke me up :(
Thunderstorms are rather scary!
Anyway, moving on from my rambling and straight on to Jamaa news.
Today's new item can be found in Jam-mart clothing, and it's a sparkly boa!

Hmm... what can I say? It certainly does seem like a good member item, and will go quite well with the other ridiculous sparkly items that have been popping up in shops o-o

Sparkly head bow+sparkly boa+ice armour+sparkly shoes+ice tail= OVERWHELMING SPARKLES

This actually looks a bit sharp O-o

Like little...blades... :S

Check it out! ^-^ Carnivorous plants... scary, if you ask me... I mean, if they were genetically modified to be bigger then... I'm quite sure.... they might be able to eat... humans! Thankfully, they don't exist. Yet.

Moving on, don't forget that the plushie stores are always being updated! Once a plushie is gone, I immediately put a plushie in its place so the store is always stocked up. This means 100 different plushies to choose from in a single store!

For a side-topic, I caught a scammer today! I took a lot of pictures, so here they are with my descriptions of what happened.

Alright, so someone named Illpup was advertising a give-away for a founders' hat and more at their den. I already was suspicious, and walked around the den saying that it was bound to be a troll. After a lot of waiting, the person arrived...

They changed their previous trade list (which consisted of the founders' hats and several other rather decent rares) into a list full of necklaces. Uh-oh...

Then we were told to 'trust-trade' them, which is basically trading something very good for a cheap item and 'trusting' the person to decline. It is very popular and shouldn't be done, but if you ever do, understand it's VERY risky and even someone you knew since 2010 could turn against you.

A person named 'MoonMoonTheSecond' won quite frequently, which got me suspicious. I then suspected that Moon was the main account and Ill was a storage, so I checked their achievements. Only 9...

After lots of trading, somebody claimed their headdress got accepted! This could be true or not...

After that, we all got locked out, so it's really likely that Happy did get scammed.

As a safety measure, stay clear of Illpup and also, take caution around Moon. Moon might not be the same person, but they could be.

Remember Jammers to stay safe to avoid scamming!

Here are a few random tips you could use to stay safe from...

Scammers

• Don't make Aldan your main server to visit, as it is FULL of scammers. Only visit at your own risk, and to trade. Be careful!
• Be careful at giveaways- if it is required to give or trade an item, leave the den! It is VERY likely to be a scam so go out and find another giveaway to visit.
• Only trade something if you are happy with what you will get in return- are you sure you want to trade the item? Is it a fair trade to you? Do you like what you will get in return?
• Never give in to a scammer! You have a right to keep your items and nobody should make you feel bad about doing so!
• Not trading back does NOT make you a scammer, so if you don't want to trade back, explain it calmly. If the person is mean to you, block and report them. Don't make the fight any bigger! However, I am talking about not trading back if you more or less did a trade you were both happ
• Don't flash trade- you might think they have no chance of accepting but the sad truth is that sometimes, it gets stuck and some people are exceptionally fast. What do you gain out of flash trading, anyway? My first ever worn blanket (pink) got scammed in early November 2012 (thanks to caseytiger19) by flash trading, PLEASE DON'T GO DOWN THE SAME ROAD!
• Do the whole trade at once if you can- if someone seems do offer something rather suspicious e.g trade me your headdress for my old hood then I'll give you my founders' hat, do NOT do it! If you are doing a trade where you will be receiving more than 4 items, make sure you can trust the person.
• Understand the risks-if you are going to flash,trust or gift, understand the risks. Someone you know at school that you are very close with that played AJ with you since 2010 could take a turn and decide friendship is less important than pixels any day. So, make sure you can either trust them 100% or accept the risk!

Hackers

• Change your password regularly- you can decide how often.It can be as frequent as once a week to once every six months... you decide! 
• Make sure your password is easy for you to remember, but not very predictable,simple or easy for anyone else to figure out. Try to include lower and upper case, symbols and numbers.
• Don's share any information that could make your password easy to guess! 
• As tempting as it may be, NEVER give out your password unless you are VERY close, for  example a parent or even a sibling in some cases. You never know! No matter how much you think you can trust them or what they promise, you never know...
• If you think you might get hacked soon, i.e accidentally giving out your password, getting the attention of a possible hacker, reset your password and lock your account through the parent dashboard. Once you're on there, disable gifting and trading, too. When you are back online,keep locking your account and/or disabling gifting/trading until you feel safe again.
• Be careful in Aldan! It's a popular spot for people like x to hang out in...
